We may be arguing a point of semantics or my limited imagination. Time, to me, of some kind, is essential to change. However, that is not to say that time is linear or that there is only one time line. Perhaps, time is the thing that allows you to move from one reality to another. It serves that function for us.

Within a particular reality, time has to be more or less continuous (or it wouldn't be "real"). But if you're transcendent being (there is that word "be" - to exist - again) maybe you can cruise through various realities like we cruise through space.

That wouldn't be time as we know it but it would be time-like.
