In extrapolating more information from HISTORICAL NASDAQ OBSERVATIONS charts, taking the average length of time for the largest 23 declines on the NASDAQ over the last 27 years the average length of the decline lasted 18.9 weeks. Using only the 8 declines greater than 20%, the average length of the decline lasted 31.5 weeks. Using the 6 declines of over 30%, the average length of the decline lasted 39.4 weeks. The length of this decline is 40.2 weeks (using the low made on Dec. 21) getatip.com
