It's not like it used to be-- with family all in the same town, and parents living next door. Sometimes my wife talks about how we could build another house or two on our property so our kids could live in them when they get older. I always think to myself what the chances are of that happening. They'll probably fly the coop just like we did. I suppose it's true for some people that life begins when the kids move out and the dog dies. It's a cute saying but it rings hollow.

what I ate for dinner and how my arthritis is acting up Granni Penni may have a slow day now and then when she will regale us with tales of dinner menus and joint discomfort, and undoubtedly they will be compelling reading for all us Geriatric DARians, maybe even Grumpy Ol' JFreddy. family all in the same town I know several women who are happy that their children and grandchildren live at least one travel day away. Keeps their babysitting duties to a minimum. Did I hear that it may be a white Christmas in Dallas?
