Yeah, who knows what they'll get into and if it's their passion or it's a great opportunity which requires them to live in outer Mongolia would I want them to forego that for my own selfish reasons?

It seems it is our job, though somewhat sadly, to prepare them to be self sufficient and grow wings, even fly away.

My 9 year boy still likes to cuddle up on my lap. In a few years that will be impossible for him to consider. Not because of size but because he won't even consider it. Slowly he will begin to break away. But for now, I never say that he's too big a boy to sit on my lap.

One of my aunts has 11 kids. They've all grown up and moved out but all of them live within an hours drive. Most of them within 20 minutes. My family is scattered across the country. Being a navy brat it was always that way. We never stayed anywhere more than a few years.

That's so funny about the houses!!
CW and Ammo once had the ambitious goal of having trailers next to each other on Indian Lake in Ohio when they grew up.
Dan and I weren't included.
I didn't speak to Ammo for several days after I did something in a store that he thought was embarrassing. I said,
"Do I embarrass you?" Because I happen to think I am a very cool mom and that he is lucky to have me me me.
He said,
"No, because I don't get embarrassed."
"You mean if you did, I would?"
"Well, yeah. You're pretty weird sometimes."

I was crushed. I don't think I"m weird at all. And I;m sure I"d fit right into his trailer park dream home.
