There's an article in the San Jose Mercury this morning that says that Sega is getting absolutely creamed in the game console market. In 2000, Sony had about 50% of the console market and 65% of the game market (if I remember correctly), while Sega has something like 9% of the console market (and I don't remember the share of the game market). Apparently KMart dropped them last August, right before prime selling started. Sega says that sales are 50% below their own reduced forecasts.
