Tunica, I am not against tax cuts as a religion, I just think that Bush' concept of cutting tax rates is "faulty", in that it will put too much of the cut into financial assets (those that Gore loved to call "tax cuts for the rich"). By moving by few thousands dollars (maybe just $1000) the threshold between the 15% and 28% rate, Bush can achieve the goal of "fairness" (give every one the same cut, maybe $250 to $500 per year), but the majority of that cut, will go back into consumption rather than financial assets and that will indeed cushion any economic slowdown we might have. I think he should not touch corporate taxes at all. Of course, Bush' concept of "fairness" and mine dioffer a little (g).
