, I don't see you and the media complaining about Hillarys 8 million dollar upfront book deal

I have been wondering about that.

But since she was just the first lady, I am not sure the rules apply to her.

BTW, I don't see you and the media complaining about Hillarys 8 million dollar upfront book deal where as there was a whole lot of liberal press complaining about Newts 4 million $ book deal. A double standard?

Jim,

There are some differences. I would explain them to you, but you would not be able to understand.<g>

Jim,

Isn't that the one that turned Clinton into a Republican?

If you think back to 1993, you will remember that the bill passed without a single Republican vote. One of the darkest moments in GOP history.

I don't see you and the media complaining about Hillarys 8 million dollar upfront book deal where as there was a whole lot of liberal press complaining about Newts 4 million $ book deal. A double standard?

As usual, you are making assumptions based on vague generalities. Have you ever heard me complain about Newt? These are the only two posts I have ever made about him.

I watched Reagan bring the country close to bankruptcy, and I saw Clinton show the guts to do something about it. George senior and Newt Gingrich also did their part, but Clinton was the guy who restored sanity to the budget process.

Two figures in the 1990's were the driving force in Government that brought the budget back under control. Bill Clinton pushed through the 1993 deficit reduction act, and Newt Gingrich led the charge for spending cuts
