It means that people are still willing to spend money on quality -- and that money being available is a good thing anyway, since it implies buying power. Heck, maybe they'll bid up my IPO <g>

The thing that was (and is!) scaring people was that maybe there was less money out there, less money to be risked . . . that would hurt the markets.

Atin answered it pretty well. The VC cycle can take a couple of years, so it shouldn't be seen as a short term indicator (other than the availability of speculative cash). I am more concerned with the longer term picture, so the VC availability is encouraging to me. I like to think that we are at the end of the bear, rather than the beginning.
