Don't this take the cake:

Dubya just appointed ex-senator John Ashcroft as Attorney General. In case you are not up to date, John Ashcroft was the IMCUMBENT senator from MIssouri who LOST to the dead guy. (yes, that's right, his opponent died three weeks before the election and he still lost)
