SMOP'in Up

Jim, thanks again for the tip several months back. I tried to buy some shares about a week ago just north of 3, but got a little greedy trying to buy at the bid, and my day order expired unfilled. Nevertheless, I was still able to establish a nice position this afternoon post-announcement. Good thing I was watching when ldo posted the news! <g>

I still find it hard to believe that it only closed at $4. That's an 18% arbitrage spread post-announcement. I suspect the pending holiday kept volume low and contributed to the market inefficiency, at least with respect to this particular announcement.

Enjoy the Christmas turkey!

Razor

Southern Mineral Corp. Warrants (SMOPW)

Jim: do you still hold any of the SMOP warrants? How will the warrants be affected by the PetroCorp acquisition? (I noticed they closed down 11% today.)
