EEE - Yea, I remember him mentioning it back at 1 and change. I only mention it since it's another buyout situation. I know many are aware of EEE, just didn't know if they knew that Duke and some brokerages are actively soliciting bid from interested buyers.

I'm continuing to like the small cap NG E&P's here

1) They traditionally do well this time of year

2) They are just starting to repair their balance sheets. As such they'll have easier comparisons going forward if prices drop vs their large cap peers.

3) With the cost of drilling go up, it's becoming more and more attractive to buy reserves vs drill.

4) Small caps can fight the trend better if the market goes south.

Jim P. Thanks for SMOP and thanks for the additional suggestion this morning. Got some PNO, BELW and MLRC (Slider mentioned it a long time ago).

One other one to put on the radar for a buyout:http://biz.yahoo.com/ccn/001116/bk.html

One drawback for those of you who played RGO is that dirty old Fred Dymet ex ceo of Ranger has just replaced the ceo at MMX. Stock is kinda cheap right now, drifting down on low or no volume. Pretty good earnings though. One more to keep an eye on.
