Jill, Your response to Bill Cotter was on the mark. Having just joined Jerry's room, I have found the same advantages there as those you have mentioned. I also noticed you use Fidelity. Do you use their F.O.X.+ package or their website? Have you had any problems setting stop orders? Have you been happy with fills? I use them as well and agree they may not be the greatest and their commission is certainly not the lowest;however, I have not experienced near the level of problems that I have heard others complain about other brokers, online & otherwise. IB sounds like something I want to look further into.
