Here in Juneau the hospital is situated in Salmon Creek, right next to the mountain. One year a small bear walked through an open door and wandered down the hall looking for something to eat. Pandemonium was the NOT what the doctor ordered!

It's not uncommon for bears to run through your backyard here or carry off your garbage can. They wander around the University Campus all the time.

Our neighbor's cat did that. Ran up a pole and grabbed a wire.
