Morning Comp,

Yesterday was most likely a thinly traded day, add to this that many senior traders exit the game either for the day or after noon, leaving the junior traders in control.
Perhaps a mistake...?

All the markets moved dramatically at 2:15±....as if on Que?
Perhaps some one was having fun...! <smile>

The Nasdaq clears orders differently then any other market, and I believe not required to use market makers. But this area is not something I'm an expert on. Patrick over on the systems thread is a retired broker and futures trader, he will have a better answer for your question. It's one that frequently comes up.

If your trading the futures or qqq's there's a lot of info posted there as well as here, by many others.
