Oh really? Maybe you should read the article again.
Federal Reserve officials clearly were surprised by the speed of the deterioration in the outlook for the U.S. economy, which caused them to acknowledge this week that they may have to soon cut interest rates to help bolster growth.

It's all about growth, my friend, bad debt included. Growth is stymied by bad debt and vice versa. It's about being able to REPAY that bad debt. That's virtually impossible, when company market caps are obliterated to the point, where they can't even afford to pay out dividends. And, banks will not allow them to borrow more capital to repay those loans, because of their lost market cap.

Until there's a catalyst to A. Provide a reason for $$$'s to flow from bonds back into equities, or B. Scare shorts out of their LONG-term short positions in anticipation of future growth, then the concern will continue to loom for these idiots living in the FED cave. As usual, they always wait until REAL-TIME data confirms their suspicions all along so they can react, instead of being proactive, which is what these guys should have been doing 2 months ago.
