Jill, I have been doing optinos now for more than 20 years. I disagree with you. It is just too hard to explain everything in a simple post (unless I want to write three pages of text). So, you invest your way. I'll invest my way. I think options are great, if handled correctly. The key word there is correctly. You don't just do options one day and know what you're doing. It takes lots of experience. I've made a ton and lost a ton. In both up and down markets. My simple point was that people who use options as leverage rather than buyinhg the underlying equity usually, in the long run, end up losing all of their capital.
