We'll see. Intel's .18 was "in production" in March of 1999 but those products were basically invisible until December of that year.

Copper, .13, and low-K all at once from a company with no production experience with copper. The move to .18 was a simple shrink. Maybe being cornered will motivate Intel to perform a little better this time.

But this time the task is 3 times as difficult.
