We hung only unbreakable ornaments on the lower part of the tree. Yesterday Kiwi was playing with a quilted candy cane ornament, and pulled it off, and it was attached to the light wire! I don't know what happens if a cat chews throught an electrical wire, but I don't want to find out. I am only giving the kids one present this year, a new computer. They are getting other things from other people, but I just wanted to get the one big thing. I also got a Linksys Router so we can network all three computers to the cable modem - I am going to try to set it up today. I'm sure that sometime later today they will find me lying on my back tangled in ethernet cable muttering, "Uncle, uncle."
