"Our attempt to understand whether time is merely a mental phenomenon, or whether there is truly a time line in objective reality--these concerns are contaminated by our inability to ever examine the issue, outside of our own consciousness."

Solon,

There is a time line in objective reality. Times characteristics constitute its identity, which conscious beings can identify. If time was existent apart from this identity, it would be a nothing. It would not exist.

As the importance of time, which is the measurement of motion-such as the motion of the earth around the sun, is only useful to conscious beings in the first place, in the way that they have a relationship to that motion and can benefit from it. Conscious beings then identify it. Time then exists. A "time" that is outside of consciousness doesn't exist, therefore has no meaning.
