Dave, the naviscope web acceleration may not matter with cable. There are other features like ad and cookie blocking and more. If you go to the site you'll find a brief description. It seems slick so far. G.

Hi Dave, Is it worthwhile...if I have a cable connection? I got a fast cable connection a few weeks ago, and I find that I still use Naviscope. My connection speed is always fantastic, I wouldn't need Naviscope on that account. But occasionally there is a disruption or upgrade going on somewhere in the internet, or my request is in a long queue because of congestion. There can be a latency of 3 or 4 seconds or more per post before it begins to load, which adds up because of the number of posts that I read in a day. Up here in the northern plains we are not necessarily connected that well so other users might not have those problems to the extent that I do. Anyway I end up feeling less impatient so it's well worth it for me. Frank
