The current quarter was never an issue, at least not for me, only for the rumormongers.

It's nice to see the Wall Street Journal being cooperative for a change and newsifying a Sun press release. But it takes some nerve for "Sun officials [to] deny any delay and say they will complete [the] introduction [of the new server line] by mid year as scheduled." As scheduled? Which revision of the schedule are we referring to here? Are they going to claim that they've never targeted any date but mid-2001 for US3 servers? I don't think it would take much resarch to scuttle that claim if they dared make it.

Anyway, I hope all the optimists are right, because I'm tired of all the shipping of US3 words instead of US3 product.

The only good news associated with all this is that it's looking more and more like Intel doesn't have a clue about when Itanic/McKinley is really going to ship 8-way boxes either (my guess: never).

Dear Sonki and all: You know, we talk so much about the Dot Coms. What about the telecom industry? Seems to me telecoms have been on their butt for a year or more now, maybe its about time they take off. Doesnt SUNW have a big stake it that business? I would appreciate some comments there from all you technically knowledgeable types as you know I am technically challenged!! JDN
