Dave: Your response surprises me. I thought you'd have some serious reservations regarding the appointment of Christine Todd Whitman to set environmental policy for this country for the next four years. She could be a real tree hugger disguised as a Republican Paul Bunyan. I can see where you'd be excited about Ashcroft ... but Whitman? New Jersey's a pretty liberal Republican state ... ain't like Idaho.
