Kal Kan - Re: "Excellent news for AMD shareholders. "

I guess that is why AMD's stock is back to where it was in 1983.

Any more good news for AMD shareholders and Jerry will be selling off one of his fabs !

Kal Kan - Re: "Instead of building P3s build 1/3 P4s per-wafer and eat additional $200 in platform costs. "

YOu and your fellow Clown AMDroids said this same thing in 1997 when Intel's Pentium II was introduced, requiring a whole new infrastructure - compared to the AMD K6 and Socket 7 !!

Well - look what happened !!

AMD's K6 died off and Intel's Pentium II/III/Celeron took off - and Pentium 4 will most likely repeat those successes.

One thing will repeat itself - the stupidity of the AMD investor to recognize when he/she is about to get whacked up side the head.
