Paganfriend X,

It is good to see you sacrificing a Noble Turkey to the festival of Sol Invictus.

Ummm... I'm essentially a moocher at Christmas dinner, so I'm not certain what's on the menu. But I suspect it will be a Honey Baked Ham. Those are reallllly good. Might even make a carnivore out of Vegan Gaugie.

Turkeys involve a good deal more preparation than the ham, which is ready when you buy it. So we usually do a turkey at Thanksgiving when everyone isn't as strapped for time. However, two of the nieces have shown a big interest in cooking this year, they've been helping their grandmother and learning the culinary arts. Those two may have decided to practice what they learned at Thanksgiving.

I intend to teach them how to cook gumbo. Yum.

BTW, I saw you and the wicked Pennirambi attempting to impugn my reputation. I won't tell Santa, despite being sorely tested.

<<We had the great turkey ham debate and decided on turkey. I don't know why. >>

Ribeye roast. Better sandwiches.
