But it seems the minute their heathen religions are called what they are, they get their panties all in a bunch. Oh it doesn’t matter. Regardless of the insults, we who love Christ worship the Almighty, the God of Israel, the One who made reality and Who indeed is Reality. If folk do not worship Him, then I yet esteem them because if they be American they are my countrymen; and I esteem their right to worship their heathen gods or even no god at all. Despite insults, the season will yet remain special because it affords us the opportunity to celebrate the day when God entered the world as one of us, this, for the purpose of shedding His blood in payment for our sins. Some folk may say “Happy Holidays” to one another, but the fact of Christmas yet looms large over all, even though they struggle to ignore it. Whatever they do, the real magic, the joy, the Holiness of the Season will always be found in only one Day—Christmas. Even the name “Christmas” radiates warmth, tenderness, wonder and joy. And that is because Christmas begins with Christ. The season belongs to Jesus and none else. He is The Source of all its wonder and magic, though we may fail to openly acknowledge Him. He is there, and all of us, Christian and heathen alike, feel Him, particularly at this time. So then to everyone, especially to you liberals, I want to say publicly that despite my rejection of your liberal ideas, and your liberal leaders and your liberal heathen beliefs, I extend my hand toward you in His love, wishing you a sincere Merry Christmas. It is my hope that you enjoy your families in a special way the next few days. My children are all asleep. The tree is long up. The house smells of cakes and spice, relatives are arriving, the place is yet buzzing with laughter and conversation near the fire. And Handel, his glorious Messiah is playing. I have a new daughter, my only daughter who, merely to watch her brings tears to my eyes. I have health and a wife who is dearer to me than I am to myself. I owe no man so much as a penny. I have parents that I love, in-laws that I love as my own blood, and I have trusted the protection of my soul to Christ, Who is the Reason for the Season. Now its time for bed, as the celebration begins in earnest starting tomorrow morning. Merry Christmas.
