Good work, Eric. Solaris/Sparc is the industry standard for
chip development (as used by Intel, etc). I'm actually
surprised that a chip test company would have been using
(Windows) PCs.

I read in today's SF Chron about the egghead.com crack
(speaking of Windows). In the article was mentioned (a gem)
a new policy in place by the Visa company regarding a
requirement that it's merchants now have secure systems. A
secure Windows system is a whole lot of work. A secure
Solaris system pretty much comes right out of the box. In
any case, merchants don't just go to CompUSA (or Egghead),
come home and click through to online Visa ready commerce
anymore.
