MERRY XMAS everybody:

C'mon lets get some spirit around here!!!

Just to kick things off for the new year. I've been looking in beatup sectors (Tech, DUH) for positive earning companies that are not involved with the damn box makers.

Found two that have been beat up, are positive earners and have growth rates over 20% with ROE's over 15.

SBL and OPMR seem to me the best prospects for the new year return to new highs if they hit the numbers and execute on what they already have in the pipe.

What think?

Ken

Thanks Joe, nice site.

I believe that NG prices will slide and that we're going to see an increase in volatility over the next six months due to higher margin requirements and the discount between future delivery contracts and option futures contracts.

NG stocks have just started to close the gap and narrow the discount between the commodity and company earnings, but are still selling at a discount to delivery contracts, making the stocks a good buy/hold and NG futures a good short.

Going to put my NG holdings in the vault for at least the next month or so and concentrate on some other sectors.

Saw Iowa lose on a missed attempt at the buzzer. I don't think any of the top 10 are dropping below 10th, but who got number 1? Duke loss to Stamford was a surprise. Specially for those watching the game as Duke appeared to be in complete control.

Once again, happy holiday Joe.
