Scumbria,

I use two places for the majority of my Linux software downloads and updates.

1)
rpmfind.net

2)
freshmeat.net

Rpmfind.net also has ftp and mirrors available if you do a lot of downloading.

Sometimes rpmfind.net is busy so I use the France rpmfind.net mirror.

fr.rpmfind.net

Scumbria,

I guess rpmfind.net is the best.
Once you locate what you are looking for, it gives a complete listing of what is required, what it provides, and the homepage for the software.

Such as LinNeighborhood:

fr.rpmfind.net

Gives this homepage for LinNeighborhood which in turn should be able to step you through installing it and setting Samba up to make things happen.
