Scumbria,

re:RPM

RPM is the format RedHat and others use to install and uninstall software. Similar to windows install wizard.

redhat.com

I have my machine set up to install the RPM when you click on it with the file manager under KDE.

I spent a lot of time here as a beginner to Linux.

A trip to the bookstore is a must. I regularly use a Sybex Linux book which covers everything. Costs $50 and includes RedHat Linux 6.2. I saw a SAMS RedHat 7 book at CompUsa today which includes a 3 CD set of the latest RedHat 7.0.
