welcome back! I always thought the Grinch's problem was a sublimated manic depression that was triggered by the holidays and exacerbated by a mild Oedipal complex. In addition, I think his encounter with Cindy Lou led to a period of reflection on his own "lost" childhood and the life he'd lived as a hermit, basically engaging in a fruitless and futile schadenfreude targeted at Whoville (who obviously never had anything bad happen to them). But what the hell do I know? I didn't sell at 60....or 40....or 20.....or 10.....
