This is a real breaking-news-kind or report from the battle zone. Thanks so much.

With Joe-Doe-the-consumer gone and every Joe-Blow-Productions having excess capacities...Maybe we already got everything we need? So why not stop pushing our credit card limits? Waaaal, the chairman Al will have to decide, if consumption as the cause (and not the effect) of big-league economy is the way to go. Used to be, but again seems to me like Joe & Jane Doe got fears creeping up their backs.

Gersh, Thanks for the observations.

We have a family gathering here, so lots of presents under the tree. We started having fun seeing where the gifts were made. Turns out it was an international Christmas; representing Brunei, China, Holland, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and even a few from the USA.

The world better hope that the US consumer keeps buying! Seems we still publish books and produce software, and can even make a candle; oh, and a decent cruise missile. The service and retail jobs are not going to produce the earnings to keep buying the toys.
