Stephen,
What is the COT?
It appears that there are many short positions in the option market. More put positions on some stocks then call positions. IBM, & CSCO are examples.

Short interest shown on my RT appears to be high on some stocks. However, I think that data is collected monthly and not weekly. Is it the same or different data then the COT?

I think the rally last Thursday and Friday was created by shorts closing positions before the Holidays. I fear the Bears will return after the New Year weekend. Any thoughts on the subject?
