thxs l3.. the main advantages that i can think of:

1) tradable. some brokerage firms charge "penalty" fees for trading mfunds held less than 60 or 90 days. of course, donald is using a good vehicle that eliminates that problem.

2) taxes -- no taxes on dividend distribution like mfund.

3) low expense ratios.

4) i have a better feel of what's the allocation. These mutual funds top 10 holdings that i read might have changed drastically since last quarter.

5) QQQ went up 70-80% last year.. none of my mfunds went up that much (albeit, the mfunds are lower risk holdings but majority REALLY do underperform)

just some of my thoughts..

L3- I'm confused....absent of a strong volume UP day, (which would not have been possible today)...I don't really know what else a short-term bull could want here...If we close down -40 or so...

Had we rallied, everyone would have complained (no volume!)....were we down 100 on the Naz, that would have shown some real conviction in selling....

But down 40 (1.7%)? that doesn't too bad, and actually could be considered a rest from Friday...

Again, I am arguing this assuming Naz doesn't close at lows (which is a total guess; I have no idea)....even still, on this volume, do we really have any idea what tomorrow is going to do?

Also, do you expect any short-covering near the close, or was that the 3-3:30 rise we saw?
