Hi Marty ; Thanx for the feed back. I pulled back on
stocks some time ago as I became convinced the indexes
were easier for me to trade and had less risk.
I flip the qqq both ways and by focusing on it instead
getting distracted with all it takes to keep up with
several individual stocks I've developed a feel for her.
--------
Not that I don't look at stocks from time to time, but
tahts becoming history for me.
I do have a paper portfolio set up of the 12 most
DOLLAR traded stocks in the NDX..weighted by the
Dollars they trade on a 3 mo avg. It's collective
result is a good ( very short term ) indicator
when compared to the NDX itself .... as the money
flows of the most $ traded ones; is what the index will
follow.
I also key on one or two in that 12 "if" they
are showing ( higher relative volume to the others and
themself ) ..but still I hang mostly to trading he index.
--------
I have not been as aggressive on the short side as some
of my friends ( and they have beat me a lot )
I also use UOPIX and USPIX but they were tricky to get
use to.
Trying to find a turn around type stock is an old
habit of mine, that I still go back to for spells
however the time it takes can let me lose focus
of what I do the best, and buying one reduces
the capital I have to flip the funds and QQQ.
So I'm getting away from it more and more.

Jim
