Les, I would agree with you that due to the most recent economic developments the FED should lower rate and be preemptive. From what I remember the FED task is to guide it's policy toward price stability, they failed a year ago by failing to tighten and they failed now by failing to ease, so who needs them? IMHO they are nothing more than another tool in the hands of Politicians and Big Money. It is a scam!! People in public office free of public scrutiny, sheltered by law, engaging in de facto criminal activities of secretively manipulating financial markets. It is just as simple. Haim
