Ben: Thanks.

Since I see developments in current sprectrum as key in the real world as opposed to standards bodies where the development of 3G specs will be crucial, perhaps it is well to follow both arenas as best we can.

After trying to get through the alphabet soup and the various advocates' cases, it seems like the only way to maintain some slight sanity in all this is to see it as two tracks or two different arenas - current spectrum and new sprectrum.

In current spectrum and with an emphasis on data, 1x and 1xEV (both 1xDO and then 1xEV) seem where to focus, while with new spectrum, the focus is "WCDMA" - as it works its way to final specs in the standards.

Plan to try to watch both.

Much appreciate your keeping us up on the GPP2 arena, and wish (perhaps from Eric L (?)) we had an equivalent "take" on GPP action.

Best and Happy Holidays to you and yours also Ben.

Chaz

Chaz, Ben, Peter and other regulars. Merry Christmas and thanks so much for the joint effort at information and analysis. Without all of you kind and generous givers, what success I have enjoyed for the last two years would not have been possible. I sincerely hope that you have vaoued my contributions at least a little--I certainly do appreciate yours.
