chic, I agree 100%. First such decisions are decidely non-linear and happen in spurts. I think the failure of the Naz to regain 3500 or 4000 in short order will have a profound impact on spending and saving habits and even the initial marginal effects that we are seeing will feedback -- wish we weren't headed into a deep recession, but I don' think there is a way out. I've given up talking to my family members about the markets ...
