OF LU, CATP AND A FEW OTHERS Doug, I'm waiting (hoping actually) for new lows on climactic selling for LU, CATP, AAPL, APCC, and quite a few other cats on the 31st, which has always been a great day for cat-fishing. I was reminded by an economist relative at Christmas dinner yesterday that the penny stocks are historically at their lows for year-end selling, and that made me realize that all four years of, I must say, stellar returns on Dec 31 plays have been el cheapos. I have my eye particularly on ICGE, which is a real toilet-circler, and ROSS, which is as cheap as it gets: siliconinvestor.com and yet appears to be a truly active company with possibilities for long-term survival, as well as some interesting divergence in the short-term TAs: siliconinvestor.com Unfortunately, it popped a few days ago, and it's following a cataclysm pattern of dropping three, four weeks, then popping (on short-covering I imagine) for a day or two before continuing its sickening twenty-claw plummet to its likely entelechy of 0/32s. Pardon the cat-poetry, and give my fondest regards to Marv and Gene. I'll be in NYC that day, or I would have surely joined you. Hope you got out of SUNW in a timely manner, though I'm sure you're still going to be feasting on Creamed Butt come 1/3/01. Please keep me tuned in on any and all disaster calls. Ivan
