imo it is bs to save face... They caused the sell off on Friday so had no choice but to follow on downgrade.

Can't see how this would affect stock? Might make some shorts happy but it is winter and they will need to put on long pants soon.

Downgrade notwithstanding, JDSU is approaching its 1999 launch point of 35 on the weekly chart. Key areas such as that are often good for a trade.
