Isn't the rise on the Nikkei linked to the announcement by the MPT that they will invest 5% of their holdings in the stock market?

But won't people bid up the price of EWJ while the US market is open on days when the NASDAQ makes big moves? Or is everyone else dumb? This certainly sounds like an interesting trade if it can work.

Of course with a mutual fund the price must reflect NAV so you would have a guaranteed profit.
