mepci....understand your point well....but what i ask is how will the reduction of the federal debt truly affect the majority of the population.....will they be able on a daily basis to realize a debt free federal government or will life go on as usual.... $500 in the average persons pocket is immediate, not long term, relief for many....and for many, long term is not part of the financial vocabulary..... what is important to the minority of those cognizant of finance, is an unrecognizable to the majority.... i understand, as do you....but most need a direct solution to show impact on their lives....
