rob I, that was my point. If GLW was so confident two weeks ago, there is no way JDSU has suddent problems.
AB is just making stock cheap for his client when small guys are selling for tax losses.
For example GLW or ALA are 25% up for the year and they did not went down so much.......
If storry is os bad we should see them going down big way

What about the flip side...maybe JDS has ramped up production and manufacturing efficiency to meet the backlog
that has existed for quite some time. Has any analyst actually spoken to JDS and found out that they are experiencing decreased demand for their entire line of products, or have they spoken to JDS customers and found out that they are decreasing purchases of JDS components?



JDSU has improved packaging on certain of their most popular components. Consequently the older packaging has shorter lead times and the newer longer lead times. In one case (if memory serves correctly it's the new 980 butterfly package) the lead time has extended to 12 mos.

Perhaps unix__daemon would like to explain the importance of packaging and the place 980 plays in the market. :)
