Mike: Looking at Qualcomm's top line growth (revenue) is a problem even without the data part, as you know. The sales and spin offs of revenue earning elements past and future, make that somewhat difficult for benchmark purposes and as a proxy for the wireless data tornado adoption not very useful. Perhaps after Spinco happens, and starting a year or so from now it might have a role - suggest not yet.

I once spent some time trying to find quantitative proxies for quality. It was fun, instructive and difficult.

Suggest finding a useful quantitative proxy for the wireless data roll out (which will be broader than just CDMA/HDR(1xEV))will be difficult, to put it mildly.

In the meantime I would suggest that we look ahead and use whatever means seem somewhat useful even though they may be difficult or even impossible to quantify meaningfully.

Best.
