again, putting a number on it is impossible, as we don't know how the CBs would react. but one thing can be said with certainty, and that is that it shouldn't take much relative to the amount of hot money sloshing around in the system. consider this: a BoE auction of 30 tons takes only $260m. to be soaked up at today's prices. that's f*ck all compared to the DAILY volume of currency trading wich goes into the trillions.
