Slider,

Checking current forecasts out to ten days, it appears that patch profit takers may get a chance to "Kaching" some profits around the New Years holiday.

Some may recall in my winter forecast early last fall I called for "at least" one major storm and put the most likely date as New Years, +/- a week.
(I had also called for a "normal" winter temp wise at the warmest with a bias toward a cold winter to possible very cold winter, the limb I crawled out on then has turned into a forest of its own, ggg)
Forecasts, by those weather folks able to get their heads out of their computer models, are now indicating that a storm to hit the east coast Fri/Sat could be major or even of blizzard proportions. And if this weekends storm fails to make the category of "famous", there is one on its heels for early next week that also has the possibility of fitting that bill. Big storms seldom fail to catch the imagination of the public and could give the OSX some boost.

BTW,
My congratulations to those who caught the OSX rally to these levels. I did not participate in the move this time even though the OSX broke through my upper level of 118. It is still subsceptible to arthritis of the right shoulder unless it breaks through 130 and holds a close there a few times, IMHO. Not sour grapes by any means, just chart chicken, VBG.

I'm being very conservative, holding mostly cash and gold and silver stocks.

It's a New Year coming and there is always a new game somewhere in MarkeTown, and I mean to have the cash to pursue it with vigor.

Best Regards All,

Roebear
