Tax loss selling for Canadian residents:

Just not to confuse people from Canada (some are reading this excellent thread), tax selling period for US stocks end tonite. And Canadian markets are closed today. And many deal US stocks almost because of better liquidity, as I do.Here is the statement from TD Waterhouse on their website:

Subject: YEAR END SETTLEMENT:2000//REGLEMENT DE FIN D'ANNEE

THE LAST TRADE DATE FOR SETTLEMENT IN 2000 WILL BE 12/22/00 FOR
CANADIAN SECURITIES AND 12/26/00 FOR U.S.
SECURITIES.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------LE
DERNIER JOUR DE TRANSACTION AUX FINS DE REGLEMENT EN 2000 SERA
LE 22/12/00 POUR LES TITRES CANADIENS ET LE 26/12/00 POUR LES TITRES
AMERICAINS.

Joyeuses Fetes everybody
