I agree with you about the difference between great company and great stock. These two items correlate long term. Near term it's often not. Right now, people with cash are probably waiting on the sideline for JDSU's forward-looking CC.

"... there will always be hangers-on that will complain but if they're left holding the bag because they didn't take the time to understand that there could be legitimate reasons for a sell off,..." Hmmmm....Legitimate reasons. Would you consider the President of Zimbabwe having hemorrhoids to be a "Legitimate reason" for a stock sell-off? It seems to me that we've had mass sell-offs for reasons that are much less significant. Wonder what the Legitimate-Reason-du-jour will be tomorrow?
