microe -DoCoMo, spun off by Japan's government telephone monopoly Nippon Telegraph & Telephone (NTT:NYSE - news) in 1996, is driving much of that advance, with its plan to be the first service provider to offer third-generation wireless data services -- by May 2001 -- in the world. Its i-mode wireless Internet service is grown in leaps and bounds and now serves about 12 million customers. OK everyone. What are these people smoking? Who is the DoCoMo publicist, Dr Goebels?
