I think Don's data for the three day pattern did not encompass a bear market, if I remember correctly.

Lee- Not trying to be a jerk here, just trying to understand....I pulled up a 1-min. chart on the QQQs....and from 3:15-3:35 or so (when we sold off again- going to -50 for the last time)....the volume dried up nicely (as we headed downward)...and, since then, a decent comeback in the Naz......

So that I understand, you see the hour as irrelevant...and the rest of trading more relevant, or???

A pretty decent comeback from the lows in a lot of individual issues...I'm assuming that this is mostly the retail investor buying...and given that, I would think this "intermediate" rally might have a chance, with not all fund managers in this week...dumping shares at nauseum...

Finally, on Friday, we certainly had opportunity to hit the wall at 2512/13, and yet, a surge at the close got us up and over....wasn't that level significant? Or do you think that close was "goosed"....I dunno, but if we were going back down (again) in the next couple days, I would have thought we wouldv'e failed the 2512/2513 on Friday, and we would have had a much worse close today.....

PURE IMO on my part...thanks for your thoughts...
