reid you're welcome. i'm reading so many cool things about naviscope, i may have to act on it myself. initially i was not motivated because i have cable modem and everything loads fast. but i have since read that there are other advantages. [edit in: here's a naviscope message board from their home site. naviscope.com good to breeze through there looking for conflicts and bugs prior to installing. i'll probably take that route.] [ edit in partII: in checking naviscope faq's, i find... "Q: I'm using ZoneAlarm and can't access the Web. A: Configure ZoneAlarm to allow Naviscope to be a LOCAL server. naviscope.com (might be a security risk. not sure.)] :) mark
